Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma, cardiac and diabetes as well as minor ailment clinics and also carry out cervical smears.
They can often assist with a number of ailments - therefore, when booking an appointment, please consider if the nurse can help initially (this can save time waiting on a doctor's appointment).
The practice currently has one Practice Nurse.
